About 15 years ago, before it was cool on YouTube I bought a Unimat at a garage sale. I have always had a fascination with and desire to learn machining. I thought I wanted to jump straight to CNC, so I proceeded to convert the Unimat to CNC. (without bothering to even learn manual machining) Needless to say it was a much longer learning curve than it needed to be.

Fast forward 10 years or so and Here I am I have endured a long absence from the old Unimat. She currently resides in self storage in Alaska, and I am not in Alaska
2 Years on the road (full time RVing) was the commitment, I made it a little over a year before and the agony of not having a proper shop overwhelmed me. I bought a couple (small) lots on the osage river, and built a small shop, over the last 8 months, I have equipped my little shop nicely I have a prosumer 3d Printer, A cheep chinese mini-lathe, and a Sherline micro-lathe, and Sherline micro mill. I also have a cheap tig welder, a small cheap belt grinder, and a small cheap bench grinder.
