I had a bonehead/ aha moment this morning over coffee. I was contemplating (online shopping) for a shortwave radio I have been wanting one for a long time.
The stupid pill hit me when I realized My HF ham rig is a better shortwave platform than any I could buy, and it is already hooked up to a longwire dipole I with the look of Christmas morning in my eyes, I turned on the radio and started tuning known shortwave stations. Lo-and-freaking-behold, i could tune just about anything in my hemisphere. Who woulda thought that I already had what I needed? who woulda thought that I didn’t have to spend another $grand to listen tot he heartbeat of the world?
Shout out to Vk1st My cousin in Australia! Maybe, just maybe we will make contact the old fashion way (on the radio)
